How do I get started with murmr?
Sign up for a free account, grab your API key from the dashboard, and start making requests. Check our docs for code examples in Python, JavaScript, and cURL.
What languages does murmr support?
We support 10 languages with native quality: English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
How does billing work?
You're billed monthly based on your plan. Free tier: 50K characters/month. Starter: $10/mo for 1M characters. Pro: $25/mo for 3M characters. Realtime: $49/mo for 3M + WebSocket access. Scale: $99/mo for 10M characters. Usage resets on your billing date.
What are the character limits?
Each request can be up to 4,096 characters. Your monthly limit depends on your plan (Free: 50K, Starter: 1M, Pro: 3M, Realtime: 3M, Scale: 10M). Paid plans allow overage at per-million rates.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes! You can change your plan anytime from the dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
What happens if I exceed my character limit?
Free tier has a hard limit — requests return an error at 100%. Paid plans allow overage at the per-million rates shown on the pricing page.
Do you support streaming?
Yes! We support real-time streaming via SSE — audio starts playing almost immediately instead of waiting for the full file. For voice agents, our WebSocket endpoint (Realtime and Scale plans) provides low-latency binary streaming.
Can I save and reuse voices?
Yes. Design a voice with VoiceDesign, then click "Save" to reuse it. Saved voices use the same voice embeddings for consistent output. Limits: Free (3), Starter (10), Pro (25), Realtime (50), Scale (100).
Do you offer refunds?
We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase if you haven't used more than 10% of your character quota. Contact support@murmr.dev for assistance.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Danger Zone. Account deletion cancels your subscription and removes all data within 30 days.
